How to use 6 Panel Oral Fluid Drug Test Cube

Prepare the Test Kit: Ensure the test cube is at room temperature. Remove the cube from its sealed pouch and check the expiration date.

Collect the Oral Fluid Sample: Instruct the donor to avoid eating, drinking, or smoking for at least 10 minutes prior. Have the donor place the collection sponge in their mouth and gently rub it against the cheeks and tongue until the saliva saturation indicator shows sufficient sample volume. Insert the Sponge into the Cube. Once saturated, insert the sponge into the cube and secure the lid tightly. This activates the test.

Wait for Results: Lay the cube on a flat surface. Wait approximately 5 minutes for the results to appear in the test windows.

Read and Record Results:  Each panel will show a control line (C) and a test line (T). A visible test line next to the drug name indicates a negative result. No test line (only control line visible) indicates a positive result. Results can be photocopied for documentation.

Dispose Safely: Discard the used test cube according to your facility’s biohazard disposal guidelines.

FAQ – 6 Panel Oral Fluid Drug Test Cube

    1. What is a saliva drug test?

A saliva drug test detects the presence of drugs or their metabolites in oral fluid, typically collected from the mouth using a swab or sponge.

    2. Which drugs can be detected in saliva?

Common panels test for substances like THC (cannabis), cocaine, amphetamines, methamphetamines, opiates, benzodiazepines, and more—usually 5 to 10 drugs depending on the configuration.

    3. How accurate are saliva drug tests?

Saliva tests are highly accurate for detecting recent drug use, especially within the past 24–48 hours. However, accuracy may vary based on the drug type, test quality, and collection method.

    4. How long after drug use can saliva tests detect substances?

Most drugs can be detected in saliva within minutes of use and remain detectable for up to 1–2 days, depending on the substance and individual metabolism.

    5. Is a saliva drug test invasive?

No. It’s a non-invasive method that doesn’t require blood or urine collection, making it ideal for workplace, roadside, and insurance screenings.

    6. Can saliva drug tests be tampered with?

Tampering is difficult because the test is observed and the sample is collected directly from the mouth, reducing the risk of substitution or adulteration.

    7. How long does it take to get results?

Most rapid saliva drug tests provide results within 5–10 minutes. Lab-based confirmatory testing may take longer.

    8. Do I need special training to administer the test?

No specialized training is required for most rapid oral fluid tests. Instructions are typically included with the kit, and the process is straightforward.

    9. Can medications affect the test results?

Yes. Some prescription or over-the-counter medications may trigger false positives. Confirmatory lab testing is recommended for disputed results.

    10. Are saliva drug tests approved for workplace testing?

Yes. Many saliva drug tests meet regulatory standards and are used in employment, insurance, and law enforcement settings. Always verify compliance with local guidelines.
