Compact, Cost-Effective, and Easy to Interpret
In workplace environments, One Screen supports alcohol-free policies with quick, discreet testing that minimizes downtime. Employers can confidently conduct reasonable suspicion or random screenings without waiting on lab turnaround. For law enforcement, the strip serves as a reliable field screening tool at traffic stops, checkpoints, or during probation compliance checks—offering immediate results to guide decisions.
Healthcare providers benefit from its point-of-care functionality, using it in emergency rooms or clinics to assess patient impairment. It's also valuable for pre-surgical screenings or addiction recovery monitoring. The CLIA-waived classification allows even small clinics and treatment centers to implement alcohol testing without advanced lab infrastructure.
Compact, cost-effective, and easy to interpret, the One Screen Alcohol Saliva Strip empowers safer decisions and supports responsible behavior. Whether you’re at home, in the field, or on the job, this trusted tool delivers rapid alcohol detection with clinical-grade accuracy—whenever and wherever it’s needed.

How to use Alcohol Saliva Strip
Alcohol Saliva Strips provide a fast, easy, and reliable way to screen for various substances or health indicators using a fresh urine sample. Follow the steps below to ensure accurate results:
Preparation: Bring the test strip and urine specimen to room temperature (59–86°F / 15–30°C) before testing. Do not open the strip packaging until ready to use. Use the strip immediately after opening.
Sample Collection: Collect a fresh urine sample in a clean, dry container. Ensure the container is free from contaminants or cleaning agents that may interfere with the test.
Dip the Strip: Dip the reactive end of the strip (the end with the test pads) into the urine sample. Immerse only the test area, avoiding the plastic handle. Hold the strip in the sample for 1–2 seconds or as directed on the product packaging.
Remove and Drain: Remove the strip and gently tap or wipe the edge on absorbent material to remove excess urine. Place the strip on a flat, non-absorbent surface with the test pads facing up.
Wait for Results: Allow the strip to develop for the recommended time (usually 1–2 minutes). Do not interpret results after the maximum reading time, as accuracy may be compromised.
Interpret Results: Compare the color changes on the test pads to the color chart provided on the packaging or insert. Match the test pad colors to the chart to determine the result for each parameter (e.g., drug presence, glucose, pH, etc.).
FAQ – Alcohol Saliva Strip
1. What is Alcohol?
Alcohol, scientifically known as ethanol, is a type of organic compound that falls under the category of volatile, flammable liquids. It is formed through the process of fermentation, where yeast or bacteria convert sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide. Alcohol is commonly found in beverages such as beer, wine, and spirits, and is consumed worldwide for recreational purposes.
2. What is the cut-off level?
The cut-off level for ethyl glucuronide is 500 ng/ml. In other words, the test detects ethyl glucuronide when its concentration in the urine sample reaches or exceeds this threshold.
3. What BAC levels can these strips detect?
Most strips detect key thresholds like 0.02%, 0.05%, 0.08%, and 0.30%, aligning with legal and clinical impairment standards.
4. How quickly do results appear?
Results are typically visible within 2 minutes, with a clear color change and control line for verification.
5. How do I use the strip?
Place the strip in the mouth under the tongue or against the cheek. Allow saliva to saturate the pad, then wait for the color to develop.
6. Can food, mouthwash, or smoking affect the results?
Yes — recent use of alcohol-containing products or smoking may cause false positives. Wait at least 15 minutes after eating or rinsing.
7. Are these tests reusable?
No. Each strip is single-use only and should be discarded after testing.
8. Is this test suitable for home or field use?
Absolutely. It’s non-invasive, portable, and requires no equipment or training — ideal for law enforcement, workplace, or personal use.
9. What does a positive result mean?
A color change matching a BAC threshold indicates alcohol presence. It’s a screening tool, not a diagnostic test — confirm with lab methods if needed.
10. How should I store the test strips?
Store in a sealed pouch at room temperature (2–27°C). Avoid moisture, heat, or freezing to maintain accuracy.
