FAQ – 6 Panel Oral Cube Saliva Test
1. What is a saliva drug test?
A saliva drug test is a non-invasive screening method that uses oral fluid (saliva) to detect the presence of drugs and their metabolites in a person's system.
2. How does a saliva drug test work?
The test collects a saliva sample—usually with a swab—that is then analyzed, typically via an immunoassay, to identify traces of drugs. Results are usually available within 5–10 minutes.
3. What drugs can a saliva drug test detect?
Saliva drug tests commonly detect substances such as:
- Marijuana (THC)
- Cocaine
- Opiates (Heroin, Morphine, Codeine, Fentanyl)
- Amphetamines (including methamphetamine and ecstasy)
- Benzodiazepines
- Methadone
4. How soon after drug use can a saliva test detect drugs?
Drugs can often be detected in saliva within minutes of use, making this test ideal for identifying recent consumption.
5. How long after drug use can drugs be detected in saliva?
Detection windows vary by drug, but saliva tests generally detect recent use, typically within 1–2 days after ingestion.
6. How accurate are saliva drug tests?
When administered correctly, saliva drug tests offer high accuracy for detecting recent drug use. However, factors like timing, collection technique, and kit quality can influence the results.
7. What is the collection process for a saliva drug test?
A sterile swab is used to collect saliva from inside the mouth (often under the tongue). The swab is then placed into a testing device or vial for analysis.
8. Are saliva drug tests invasive?
No, saliva drug tests are considered non-invasive and are more comfortable compared to blood draws or urine collections.
9. Can saliva drug tests be conducted at home?
Yes, many saliva drug test kits are designed for home use, providing a convenient and private method to screen for recent drug use.
10. How quickly do saliva drug tests provide results?
Most saliva drug tests deliver results within 5–10 minutes, making them useful for rapid screening situations such as roadside checks or workplace screening
