The TC"HDL"GLU cassette measures total cholesterol (TC; which is a measure of the total amount of cholesterol in the blood at any given time), and High density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (referred to as the "good cholesterol") as well as glucose (GLU; which is a measure of blood sugar). TC"HDL"GLU also calculates the TC/HDL ratio and non-HDL cholesterol. TC values of less than 200mg/dL are desirable. HDL levels greater than or equal to 60 mg/dL are protective. Normal fasting GLU levels are below 100 mg/dL.
