FDA 510K# K071507 & CLIA Waived. - The new CHOL + HDL + GLU Panel Test Strips for use with the CardioChek PA System offer a simple, convenient method for large-scale testing of risk factors for two of the most common disease states: cardiovascular disease and diabetes. A MEMo Chip is provided with each package of test strips and must be properly inserted into the analyzer before any test can be run. The MEMo Chip contains test name, calibration curve, lot number and test strip expiration date. After the test strip is inserted into the analyzer and blood applied to the strip, test results are displayed in about a minute. Symptoms of diabetes plus casual plasma glucose concentration of equal to or greater than 200 mg/dL (11.1 mmol/L) Symptoms of diabetes include polyuria, polydipsia, and unexplained weight loss. Casual is defined as any time of day without regard to time since last meal. OR 2. Diagnosing Cardiovascular Disease

  • Total Cholesterol - Desirable - Less than 200 mg/dL
  • Total Cholesterol - Borderline High - 200-239 mg/dL
  • Total Cholesterol - High - Equal to or greater than 240 mg/dL
  • Total HDL Cholesterol - Low - Less than 40 mg/dL
  • Total HDL Cholesterol - Desirable - Equal to or greater than 60 mg/dL

Diagnosing Diabetes - American Diabetes Association (ADA) guidelines

  • 1. Symptoms of diabetes plus casual plasma glucose concentration of equal to or greater than 200 mg/dL (11.1 mmol/L)
