Blind specimen or blind performance test specimen  A blind specimens is a drug sample with a false identifier sent off to a drug testing lab among a batch of real drug specimens for the purposes of quality control.   Blind performance test specimens appear to be the same as the drug test samples from employees however their only purpose is to assure that the drug testing lab is performing quality drug screen tests and reporting proper drug screen results.
