Assay

Assay  To assay a specimen is to get an exact measurement or concentration of a specific component in the sample.  In addition to concentration assays there are many others, including, but not limited to antigen capture assay, bioassay, competitive protein binding assay, four-point assay and microbiological assay.  In terms of testing for illicit drugs samples undergo immunoassay analysis.
