Air blank
Air blank - An air blank is a test performed to a breath analyzing device using gas chromatography to make sure it is clear of residual alcohol from any previous tests that may have been performed using the device. An air blank test is a procedural standard to ensure there are no false positives and in cases of evidential screening the actual test cannot be performed until the air blank test.
